When a rep first pitched me bamboo sheets years ago, I'll admit my eyes rolled a little. Bamboo. Sure. Next you'll sell me a seaweed sofa.
Then I ran my hand across one and got quiet.
Are bamboo sheets actually better than cotton?
Here's what Cariloha, the bamboo brand we carry, actually claims, and it's more measured than the internet version. Their bamboo viscose is, in their words, a softer and all-around better version of cotton. It wicks moisture and ventilates so skin can breathe. It's hypoallergenic, and it doesn't hold onto the bacteria that cause odors. They back the softness part with what they call their Soft Standard: every bamboo item softer than comparable items in its category.
Notice what's not in there. No magic sleep numbers, no cure-all promises. Fabric that breathes better and feels softer. In a Florida bedroom in August, that's not a gimmick, that's the whole job description.
Cariloha's been at this since 2007, by the way. Bamboo is basically all they do, which I trust more than a cotton company with a bamboo side hustle.
Why don't we sell it online?
Because the entire argument for this bedding is how it feels, and I can't email you that. Cariloha is a showroom line for us on purpose. Come in, run your hand across it next to regular cotton, and the decision makes itself in about five seconds. Then it goes home with you the same day.
We're at 1024 S Harbor City Blvd in Melbourne, and the sheets live near the mattresses, where they belong. More on the brand on our Cariloha page.
