A queen bed that lives as a cabinet by day.
Coastal-finished cabinet beds for Florida homes that host. On the showroom floor in Melbourne.

WHY WE STOCK THESE
We sold our first cabinet bed during COVID. We haven't stocked a wall-mounted one since.
When we started carrying cabinet beds, the only ones on the market were the wall-mounted kind. The ones that need a contractor. The ones that put a hole in the drywall and a permanent line down your guest room. We sold a few. We watched what happened to them.
Then the freestanding cabinet design came around — solid wood, a folding mechanism instead of hydraulics, real queen mattress, no drilling. We bought one for the showroom floor. The first family that walked in and saw it open and close stopped pretending they wanted a sleeper sofa.
We've stocked the freestanding line ever since. Eight finishes on the floor at any given time. Real queen mattresses included. No anchoring. No remodeling. No hydraulics to wear out. Built for the way Florida homes actually host.

BUILT FOR THIS COAST
Out-of-state family. Long weekends. A home office that has to be a home office on Monday morning.
Most cabinet beds are designed for a New York studio. Ours are designed for a Florida home that hosts.
The grandkids come down in July. The adult kids come home for the long weekend. The college kid lands at MCO at midnight on a Tuesday. The condo handles a Christmas visit. The home office becomes a guest room on Friday and goes back to being the home office on Monday morning.
A real queen mattress, on a real frame, inside a cabinet that fits the footprint of a console. The bed appears in under a minute. The bedding stays on between visits. When the company leaves, the room goes back to being your room.
No drilling. No anchoring. No contractor. Move the bed when you move the room.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
Three things to know before you sit on the mattress.
-

01.
Freestanding. No wall mount. No drilling.
The cabinet sits on the floor, not on the wall. There's no anchoring, no construction, and no permanent line down the room when you decide to move it. You can rearrange the guest room every season if you want. The bed comes with you.
-

02.
Solid Mindi wood. Hand-finished coastal palettes.
Mindi is a dense Southeast Asian hardwood that holds dimension through Florida humidity. The finish is hand-applied in two tones — a soft body color and a contrasting interior — designed to develop a hand-rubbed patina, not a shine. Eight finishes on the floor. You won't see them at a national chain.
-

03.
A real queen. One minute from cabinet to bed.
The mattress inside is a 6-inch premium cooling-gel tri-fold queen. A folding mechanism, calibrated for single-hand operation, lowers the bed in under a minute. Smoother and safer than a hydraulic lift, with nothing to wear out or leak. Bedding can stay on the mattress between uses. When the guests leave, you close it. The room is yours again by lunch.

ONE MINUTE
Open and close it before you decide.
There's only so much a photo can show you about a cabinet bed — the smooth give of the fold, the weight of the cabinet, the way the mattress folds back inside when you're done. The folding mechanism is calibrated for single-hand operation, with no hydraulics to wear out. Bedding can stay on the mattress between uses. Watch what an actual reveal looks like, then come see one in person.

VISIT
Sit on the mattress. Open the cabinet. Talk to a real owner.
There's a difference between a cabinet bed that works and a cabinet bed you'd want family to sleep on. The eight pieces above are on the floor at our Melbourne showroom, Monday through Saturday. Bring an afternoon. Open every cabinet. Sit on every mattress. Take the time. Then choose the one that earns the room.

COMMON QUESTIONS
What customers ask before they visit.
Does the cabinet bed require any wall anchoring or assembly?
No. Every cabinet bed on our floor is fully freestanding. No drilling, no construction, and no permanent line down the wall. It arrives ready to use.
What kind of mattress is inside? Is it a real mattress?
A 6-inch premium cooling-gel tri-fold queen mattress is included with every cabinet bed. Standard queen mattresses can't be substituted — the tri-fold geometry is what allows the mattress to fold inside the cabinet.
How long does it take to open or close?
Under a minute. The folding mechanism is calibrated for single-hand operation — no hydraulics to fail. Bedding can stay on the mattress between uses.
Will it fit through a standard doorway?
Yes. Cabinet beds ship in two cartons and pass through any standard 32-inch interior doorway.
What's the weight capacity?
Each cabinet bed is engineered for two adult sleepers and tested to 600 lb evenly distributed.
Is it on display in the showroom?
Yes — all eight Florida-named finishes are on the floor at our Melbourne showroom, on display open and closed. You can try the lift mechanism, sit on the mattress, and walk through every finish in person.
How is this different from a wall-mounted Murphy bed?
A wall-mounted Murphy bed bolts permanently to the wall and requires anchoring (usually drilling into studs). A freestanding cabinet bed sits on the floor like a console table. No drilling, no marks, no construction. The cabinet moves when you move the room.
What's the delivery like?
Premium white-glove delivery is included throughout Brevard County. We bring the cabinet into your home, place it where you want it, set the mattress, and walk through operation in person.
Is there a warranty?
Every cabinet bed includes a 5-year Guardsman protection plan. We handle claims directly with the manufacturer, with Guardsman as the backup for accidental damage and structural defects.
