Ours are American-engineered with a simple pull-out platform — no lift mechanism, no springs, no piston, no header to assemble, nothing to bolt into a wall stud. You pull the platform out, fold the mattress flat, and you're done. Setup takes about 15 seconds and there's no mechanism to fail.
